214 & Counting

Happy New Year!

I can’t believe it’s been over a month since I last checked in with the blogosphere, but I’ve just been so preoccupied.

In about 2 weeks, I’ll have my first meeting about my semester abroad in London!

I might be taking a photography course, a contemporary British theatre course, and an art course, where I’d be spending time in some of London’s collections.

214 days away and counting!

I’m daydreaming about returning to the Upper East Side in the near future.

Beauty and the Beast

Happy Thursday! I’m so glad that the weekend is almost upon us. A week from today I’ll be in New York!

This past weekend, I had the privilege of going to see another broadway national tour. This time it was Beauty and the Beast. I consider it to be very special for me because it was the very first broadway show I ever saw at the ripe old age of 7. I was able to enjoy the beautiful theater architecture and sights of downtown Charlotte, which just added to all the fun.

I wore a simply LBD from Francesca’s Collection that had a beaded neckline, simple black kitten heels, and carried a black Coach cross-body bag.

Beauty and the Beast to me, is just one of those shows you can never get tired off. I love the beautiful score, classic tale, and gorgeous costumes and lighting. If you have time, I would definitely recommend seeing it!

Sweet Summertime: Part 3

Happy Saturday everyone!

I hope that you’re enjoying your weekend. I had a great day today. I went to a car show today and saw vintage Ford Mustangs. I love everything vintage, including cars. My dad bought a white 1967 Ford Mustang this past Christmas, and we’ve been cruising around town with the windows rolled down soaking up the sun and enjoying the warm weather.

Speaking of summer activities, I recently went to see the national tour of the broadway musical “Wicked” with my mom. It was fantastic. I was very fortunate to have 5th row seats on top of that! The costumes and sets were so inspiring, as well as the architecture of the theater that we visited. I get goosebumps every time I listen to the “Wicked” soundtrack, so while in the theater I almost started tearing up during the live performance.

I hope that you all have a marvelous weekend, I know I cannot wait for tomorrow when I leave for the beach!
