Happy Thursday Everyone!

I’ve been busy getting through another set of examinations before I go home on Monday for my Thanksgiving Break!

In other news….

I’m so excited! I cannot wait to get the details worked out!

Shop It To Me Trendsetter

Happy Wednesday everyone!

As you might have noticed, I have my first official link/advertisement/whatever you want to call it on the right hand side of my blog.

It’s a link to sign up for Shop it To Me.

A while back I posted about a cute Anthropologie jacket I found via Shop it To Me.

Well somehow, it caught the attention of Shop it To Me, and I received an email from them asking me to become a part of their blogger Trendsetter’s program!

I couldn’t believe it!

Here’s what they sent me:

“Trendsetters is an elite group of bloggers, similar to you, that serves as kind of an advisory board for us. We make sure you’re the first to know about exciting news, updates, and fun blogger opportunities(giveaways, interviews, events, etc.). It’s little work with fun perks!”

So I will definitely be keeping you posted on anything that comes up, and will definitely be sharing it on here!

Here’s a link to their blog, and of course, you can always check out their website by clicking on my handy referral badge to the right!

Freezing Friday

Happy Friday everyone!

I’m sorry that I haven’t posted in a long while. I’ve been busy with midterm examinations and projects, and planning ahead for the next couple of semesters.

I woke up this morning wanting to wear a silk shirt, but was glad I didn’t. It ended up being a cold, foggy, and windy morning.

Summer seemed to linger too long at school, so the leaves on campus are finally turning.

With Thanksgiving break in about 3 weeks, the reality has set in that those wonderful Indian Summer days are far behind us.

So it’s time I plan ahead for winter coats.

So without further ado, here are my Friday Favorites from Warehouse.

People Tree: Philanthropical Fashion

Happy Thursday!

How would you like to be able to wear stylish quality clothing and help a good cause all at the same time?

Well you can do just that by buying clothing from People Tree.

People Tree has been a pioneer in Fair Trade and environmentally sustainable fashion in the UK since 2001.

People Tree works to improve the lives and environment of  artisans and farmers in developing countries across the globe who work to make quality eco-friendly clothing.

Emma Watson has been a supporter of People Tree in the past, and even helped design several clothing lines for People Tree.

If you cannot order the clothing from the UK, in the US  you can purchase pieces from People Tree’s collection from ASOS.

It’s a great way to be able to look and feel beautiful on the inside and out, and know you are helping to make someone’s life better.

Two of my favorite dresses to wear are from People Tree, and I always feel good when I wear them. They’re a good reminder to have knowing that in some small way, I’m helping others.

You should do the same!

Here are some of my favorite People Tree pieces from ASOS and the People Tree website.

New Writing

I just wanted to share with you all that I have started a second blog called Politichic.

It’ll highlight my love of two of my favorite words: “Politic” and “Chic.”

I’ll be focusing on my love of political fashion.

“The art of dressing politically.”

Please check it out!

Shop It To Me: Anthropologie Style

Happy Friday  to you all!

This past week I received an email from a friend inviting me to join “Shop It To Me,” a free personal shopping website. Intrigued, I decided to check it out, and let me tell you, I LOVE it!

Basically you get a personalized shopping page where you check off your favorite brands, retailers, sizes, and price range. Then, “Shop It To Me” scours the internet for you, bringing together all of your information to give you the best online sales and deals on the items you’re interested in purchasing.

“Shop It To Me” found the cutest jacket from Anthropologie for me that was was originally around $130, but was on sale for $50!

Basically every brand and retailer are on the site, and there is even a site available for those located outside of the US.

If you would like to join, let me know, and I’ll “invite” you. Once you get 10 people to sign up for it, you’ll get a $10 gift card!

Okay, so I know that it sounds like I was forced to endorse “Shop It To Me,” but I honestly wasn’t.

I was just really excited to share my great deal with you!

Nothing screams fall like Burberry

Going off of my Autumnal crave here are some of my favorite looks from the Burberry Prorsum Pre-Fall 2012/ Fall 2021 RTW collections.

Nothing screams “I want cold weather” like Burberry.

Christopher Bailey, I tip my hat off to you.

Happy Monday!

I hope that you all had a marvelous weekend. Mine was filled with arranging my travel plans for going to the mountains for an extended weekend holiday.

In other news, as some of you might know, (that is, if you read my “About Me” section,) you would have learned how I’ve always wanted to fulfill my dream of becoming an actress. Well, I’ve actually been called in to interview for possible representation with an acting agent! I’m so thrilled to be given this generous opportunity! So I’ll be preparing for it in the next coming weeks.

Speaking of acting, one of my favorite TV characters just happens to be the oh so fabulous Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl. While I was in New York, my friend and I had a mini photo shoot around the city, so I decided to share my favorite photographs from the shoot.

What do you guys think? Could you see me living in New York one day?

Beauty and the Beast

Happy Thursday! I’m so glad that the weekend is almost upon us. A week from today I’ll be in New York!

This past weekend, I had the privilege of going to see another broadway national tour. This time it was Beauty and the Beast. I consider it to be very special for me because it was the very first broadway show I ever saw at the ripe old age of 7. I was able to enjoy the beautiful theater architecture and sights of downtown Charlotte, which just added to all the fun.

I wore a simply LBD from Francesca’s Collection that had a beaded neckline, simple black kitten heels, and carried a black Coach cross-body bag.

Beauty and the Beast to me, is just one of those shows you can never get tired off. I love the beautiful score, classic tale, and gorgeous costumes and lighting. If you have time, I would definitely recommend seeing it!

Friday Favorites

Sorry that I haven’t written in several days! I’ve been very busy with work.

I can’t wait for tomorrow night though! I’m going to see the National Broadway Tour of Beauty and the Beast! It is one of my favorite musicals of all time, and I consider it to be very special because it was the very first broadway show I ever saw when I was 7. It inspired me to get more involved with theater, which I did for 8 years. So I kind of feel like I’m coming full circle, about 12 years later.

On another random note, I’m also starting up another Charming and Chic blog at charmingandchicblog.blogspot.com . I’ll of course still be posting here, but I wanted to branch out more on a different venue. So please check it out and follow!

On this last Friday of June, I’m feeling inspired by little whims and fancies. While perusing online, I found these photos:

One word: Chanel. Need I say anymore? These are so chic and a work of art. I adore the pedicure and pants as well. If I win the lottery, I will be buying these.

I want this entire outfit. This is how I want to dress when I visit New York in a couple of weeks.

This is the perfect polished, yet laid back outfit. The exact style that I would love to wear everyday.

I love both ballet and Louboutins. A match made in heaven.

I love these Dior cat-eye sunglasses that I found online at Nordstrom. They are the epitome of classic style and sophistication.
